IBPS CWE PO / MT 5 – Pattern of Exam

The pattern of exam has changed from this year, on lines of pattern of Civil Services. So now, instead of single qualifying exam and subsequent interview, there will be 2 qualifying exams and then the subsequent interview.

  • The first exam (Preliminary) will only be of qualifying nature. The marks secured in this exam will not be counted towards your final score. However, you need to clear this exam to proceed to the next round.
  • The first round will consist of 100 questions from English, Reasoning and Aptitude. Time duration will be one hour.
  • Candidates who clear the Preliminary exam shall be eligible for the Mains exams.
  • The second exam (Mains) shall be like the exam that was held last year. It will consist of 200 questions from English, Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness.
  • The marks of this exam shall be counted towards your final score.
  • Candidates who manage to clear the cutoff in the Mains exam shall then be eligible for the interview. The marks secured in Mains exam and interview shall then be combined to give the final score.
