IBPS CWE – Change In Exam Pattern

There has been a slight change in the exam pattern, as you must have seen above.

  • The CWE Specialist Officers and CWE RRB still have one exam for selection purpose (apart from interviews).
  • However, the CWE PO/MT and CWE Clerk exam shall now have two exams, on lines of civil services exams (but not exactly the same).

Here is a breakdown of the change in exam pattern.

  • All candidates who register for the CWE PO/MT and CWE Clerk shall be called for giving the preliminary exam.
  • Based on the performance in preliminary exam, a select number of candidates shall be shortlisted and called for the mains exam.
  • Payment will be made ONLY ONCE for both preliminary and mains exams.
  • Marks of preliminary exams are only qualifying in nature, and shall not be counted towards the final score.
  • Number of questions will be less in preliminary examination along with shorter time duration.
  • Marks of ONLY MAINS EXAM shall be considered while shortlisting candidates for interviews.

Additional information regarding method of registration and mode of payment is given below.

  • Registration will be through ONLINE MODE ONLY.
  • There will be single registration for both preliminary exam and main exam.
  • Method of payment shall be ONLINE ONLY and you can pay via Debit cards, Credit cards, IMPS, Internet banking, Mobile wallet and Cash card.
  • No other method of payment is acceptable.

I hope you are very clear with the exam schedule for the upcoming year. The changed pattern makes it a bit tricky to become a bank PO/Clerk as now we have two exams and 1 interview to clear. Your preparation should be the same. Only the method of sorting out of candidates has changed (along with no of questions and duration).
