SBI PO 2015 Notification, Important Dates and Pattern

SBI has released the notification for SBI PO 2015 exam. This exam is held to recruit candidates for the post of probationary officers in State Bank of India, the largest bank of the country.

Every year, over 1 million candidates try their luck at trying to secure a seat in this coveted organisation. However, only about 4000-5000 candidates are successful every year.

SBI PO 2015 – How To Apply Online and Eligibility Criteria

Detailed Notification

You will need a few things to keep with you before you start filling the form.

  • A scanned color passport size photograph with size not exceeding 50kb.
  • A scanned image of your signatures, in black ink on a white paper. Size not exceeding 20kb.
  • Your credit/debit card.

SBI PO 2015 – Change in Exam Pattern

SBI has changed the exam pattern for selection in SBI PO 2015 exam, on the lines of changes made by IBPS in its selection of Probationary Officers. The changes are as given below.

Old Pattern

  • Selection Exam – Exam consisted of online exam of 200 marks (2 hours) and a descriptive test of 50 marks.
  • Group Discussion and Interview – Candidates who cleared the cutoffs were selected for the interview.

New Pattern

  • Preliminary Exam – This exam will be of 1 hour duration. It will consist of 30 questions from English language and 35 questions each from Aptitude and Reasoning.
  • Mains Exam – Candidates who clear the cutoffs of the preliminary exam shall be eligible to sit for the mains exam. This exam will be similar to the “Prelim Exam” of the old pattern, having 50 questions each from English, Reasoning, Aptitude and General Awareness and a 50 marks descriptive exam.
  • Group Discussion and Interview – Candidates who clear the cutoffs in the mains exam shall be eligible for the interview.
