by Jasjot Singh on October 5, 2014

SBI has released call letters for candidates selected in Phase 1 of SBI PO 2014. Almost 17 lac had participated in the examination for 1800+ seats in this prestigious bank. While many banks come out with their Probationary Officer jobs, SBI PO is the king among them partially due to a better pay scale as well as being a more reputed job and more amenities.

Those of you who appeared for this exam but could not qualify the pre-lims, don’t lose heart. You still have IBPS exams starting from October and you can surely crack that exam by following my tips on how to crack the IBPS PO exam.

For those of you, like me, who did manage to crack the preliminary examination of SBI PO 2014, you can download your call letter and the biodata cum attestation form.

SBI PO 2014 – What Next?

Now that the stage is set for the final showdown, many will be nervous what is going to happen now. For a general refresh,

  • The phase 2 of SBI PO exam selection consists of Group discussion and then Personal Interview by a panel.
  • The panel consists of GM level people, both serving as well as retired.
  • The assessment is based on how aware you are on general topics and how well you can talk and express your views.
  • The marks of Phase 1 and Phase 2 will be calculated out of 100 and subsequent selections will be made on those basis.

The interviews are scheduled to be held from October 8 onwards. They will go on for sometime, till all of the 4500+ probable candidates go through the rigorous phase 2.

SBI PO 2014 РHow To Prepare For Phase 2

Preparing for an exam which has no syllabus can be tough. But we all have made it through the most difficult part of SBI PO exam, giving up now is not an option.

  • I don’t recommend any books. No. You’ve had enough of them already.
  • The best would be to pick up newspapers and go through the hot topics that were, like the ISIS crisis, or read editorials and debates in leading newspapers.
  • Facing a panel of General Managers is no easy feat. Trust me, I’ve faced that in my IBPS interview. You have to be Einstein to make fools out of them. So, I would recommend that you go through this book which you can get with the link below.

  • The panel will check your confidence as well as your knowledge about banking. If you don’t know anything, admit it. This is one howler I made in my interview.
  • If you have low self confidence, start building it. Sit in front of the mirror and talk confidently looking at yourself in the mirror.

Got more points to add? I will be uploading a new post on general questions asked in SBI PO interviews. More on that later !! Please leve your comments in the box below. Do not forget to like and share this post !!
